Safety Notice: the buggy has no fitting for a child seat or baby carrier. Children under 7 must travel on the lap of the adult responsible for them.

West Coast Route: Mangroves and Shifting Dunes

Our journey begins with pick-up at your pousada (guesthouse) at the agreed time. The drive along the beach includes fascinating stops, such as the seahorse nursery and the Guriú mangroves, famous for their exposed roots that make for incredible photos. We cross the sea inlet on a charming ferry crossing and head on towards the shifting dunes.

Fun and History in Tatajuba

The adventure continues with optional stops for fun on the dunes, such as the traditional Toboágua water slide and the Esquibunda sand slide. The final destination is Lago Grande, where you can relax in hammocks set in the water and enjoy local cooking at rustic beach bars.

Cultural Tip: you can arrange with your driver a visit to Velha Tatajuba to see the ruins of the village buried by the dunes and hear Dona Delmira's stories.
